Some feelings barely need any words.
You know that moment when you finally wash your face after a long, dragging day? The water's warm—like it's helping lift the day off your skin. You smooth in your serum, then, a few minutes later, your moisturizer. Phone down. Bathroom light snaps off. That's it. Done.
If you know, you know.
That’s the thing about “IYKYK.” Yeah, it means “if you know, you know,” but the real power is in recognition. You see a short phrase, and it transports you straight into a moment you almost can't explain. Skin care, scalp care—they live in those tiny rituals. They’re hard to put into words until you’ve actually felt them.
First cleanse after a long day. Clean, fresh skin before bed. Scalp massage while the oil is soaking in. The way your face feels after exfoliating, all polished and new.
None of these are grand gestures. They're just small touchstones—the reasons you come back tomorrow and the next day.
Why we brought IYKYK into PranaGlow
PranaGlow has always cared about the feeling around the product. Ingredients and formulas are important, for sure. But how your cleanser feels, how much moisturizer actually sinks in, whether your scalp gets the love it needs—those are what you remember. Routines don’t stick because someone handed you a glorious ingredient list. They stick because, at some point, you want to feel clean, comforted, calm. You want to feel looked after, ready for bed, ready for tomorrow or the week ahead.
That’s why IYKYK made sense for our Instagram series. Instead of reciting product details, we told stories through familiar moments.
That first cleanse after a long day. IYKYK.
Sunday oil night. IYKYK.
When your skin just drinks it in. IYKYK.
The product’s still there, but these rituals get the spotlight first.
Botanical skincare with some personality
Let’s be honest—botanical skincare often gets two vibes: ultra-clinical or airy and dreamlike. PranaGlow sits right in the real, human middle. We use botanicals—Blue Tansy, Butterfly Pea Flower—plus oils and supporting ingredients that fit each formula. Our scalp care is inspired by old-school Ayurvedic hair-oiling traditions, all blended with plant oils and herbs.
Yes, the ingredients matter. But it’s the person—standing at the sink, thinking, “My face is dry and I need to wash away this day,” or “My scalp needs a little attention tonight”—that makes the ritual real. Nobody’s obsessing over botanical names in that moment.
It starts there.
The cleanser moment
Cleansers might be the least glamorous part of a routine, but they’re often the most satisfying. You get home after work, the gym, running errands, shuffling through traffic, battling meetings—whatever the day’s handed you. Then, you wash it all away. That shift is so much bigger than the sixty seconds it takes.
Our Soothing Face Cleanser uses gentle Blue Tansy Flower Water, Aloe Vera, and Butterfly Pea Flower. But honestly, the IYKYK version is just: that first, clean face feeling after a long day.
The serum moment—and hello to RDNC
Enter the Luminous Face Serum, and suddenly, we had our own little bit of PranaGlow slang: RDNC—short for “radiance.” We wanted a quick, playful way to talk about what you’re really after: healthy, cared-for skin. So we say: get your RDNC in.
RDNC can mean the serum itself, but it also points to everything that surrounds the ritual—those minutes you carve out for your skin, the habits you build, the routines that actually fit your real life. It’s why we link them: IYKYK. RDNC. Get your RDNC in.
Some people know immediately. Some have to ask. Doesn’t matter—curiosity’s part of the fun.
The moisturizer moment
There’s a sweet spot in every routine where moisturizer just makes sense. Skin’s clean, serum is absorbed, and you work in that last layer until everything feels right. Our Nourishing Face Moisturizer is loaded with Aloe Vera, Blue Tansy Water, Shea Butter, Butterfly Pea Flower Extract, glycerin, and Frankincense Oil.
The formula has plenty to love. But the ritual says it best: when your skin drinks it up. IYKYK.
Scrub night for the win
Exfoliating isn’t about “more.” Our Brightening Face Scrub is a creamy sugar polish you use now and then—not daily—because each product has its moment in the routine.
Scrub night has its own rhythm: texture, rinse, that softer, smoother finish. So for us: scrub night, skin feels different after. No explanation needed.
Sunday oil night—iconic
Sunday oil night might capture IYKYK better than anything else in our lineup. Hair oiling is in the spotlight; scalp care’s trendy, with more talk about ingredients like Amla, Rosemary, Batana, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Bhringraj, Brahmi, Hibiscus, and Ashwagandha.
But for lots of Indian families, hair oiling isn’t a trend—it’s just what you do. Maybe you remember someone oiling your scalp, the feeling, the scent, sitting still way too long as a kid—only to repeat the ritual as an adult, whether you like it or not. That kind of memory doesn’t need much explaining.
Our Root + Scalp Strength Oil fits right in. Use it two or three times a week, adjust as you need. Sometimes, all you need to say is: Sunday oil night. IYKYK.
Why this language matters, especially for younger people
Younger skin care fans spot a forced brand a mile away. But give them four letters, one moment, a feeling they recognize? It can become an entire conversation. That’s the wild part for us as a founder-led brand. We don’t have to stop talking about formulas or education—we just get to switch up the language for the moment.
One post dives into scalp care. Another breaks down what Amla does. Sometimes, we just say IYKYK. People follow a beauty brand for learning, but also for a feeling—recognition, humor, identity, and ritual.
A less complicated way to look at your routine
There’s no prize for the biggest lineup, no magic number of products, nothing says your routine has to mimic someone else’s. It’s about what you’ll stick with. Maybe that’s just cleanser, serum, moisturizer. Maybe you add a scrub now and then, or get into oiling your hair when you have time. Routines shift—they should—depending on your schedule, your skin, your scalp, even the season.
What ties it all together is consistency. You’re drawn back because it feels good, not because it’s another box to check. Over time, the habit becomes second nature—maybe even comforting.
One night, you find yourself with serum in your palm or oil massaged through your scalp. No need for a grand explanation. You just know.
IYKYK. And if you get your RDNC in, even better.
